BOSC Tech Labs Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates Cal AI (the "App"). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights, in line with our commitment under the Terms & Conditions.

1. Information We Collect
Account & Profile Data: name, email, age, gender, height, weight, activity level, and dietary goals entered during onboarding.
Health & Nutrition Data: meal logs, scanned food photos, calorie/macro intake, weight history, and — if you connect it — data synced from Apple Health or Google Health Connect (steps, weight, active energy, etc.).
Food Images: photos you capture/upload are sent to our AI service for food recognition and nutritional analysis. Images may be temporarily processed by the AI service and are not used by BOSC to train models beyond what's needed to return your analysis.
Usage Data: device identifiers, IP address, app interaction events, and crash/diagnostic data (collected via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics).
Subscription Data: purchase and entitlement status via RevenueCat and your app store account (we do not receive your payment card details).
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide AI-powered food recognition and nutrition tracking.
- Personalize calorie/macro goals and progress insights.
- Sync and reconcile health metrics with Apple Health / Google Health Connect.
- Send meal, hydration, and weight-tracking reminders (if enabled).
- Manage subscriptions and entitlements via RevenueCat.
- Monitor app stability and improve features (Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics).
- Respond to support requests.
3. Third-Party Services
We share data with the following processors, only as needed for their function:

We do not sell your personal data. Data may be transferred outside your country/jurisdiction to India for processing, where BOSC Tech Labs Pvt Ltd is based.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure token-based authentication, and restricted internal access — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via in-app settings or by emailing contact@bosctechlabs.com. Health data synced from Apple Health/Google Health Connect can be disconnected anytime from your device's health app settings.
6. Your Rights
- Access, review, and export your personal data.
- Correct inaccurate profile or health information.
- Request deletion of your account and data.
- Revoke Health app sync permissions.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications.
7. Children's Privacy
Cal AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; users under 18 should have parental/guardian consent.
8. Cookies & Tracking (Web/Support Pages)
Our support and marketing web pages may use cookies for session management, security, and analytics. You can control cookie preferences via your browser settings.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via the update notes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
